This role plays a key part in establishing the financial processes, journal logic, and controls for a new business stream while also supporting core financial accounting activities. It balances traditional month‑end and compliance work with process design, problem‑solving, and operating in an evolving, fast‑paced environment. Client Details My client is a rapidly growing, global fintech organisation. Description Review daily client‑money processes, identify issues, and resolve them across operational and reconciliation teams. Understand transaction and data flows to ensure all regulatory compliance requirements are met. Develop and maintain journal logic for new transactions Drive process improvement initiatives. Complete month‑end activities with accuracy and pace, while continuously enhancing underlying processes. Prepare balance sheet reconciliations in Blackline and support statutory reporting across quarterly, half‑year, and annual periods. Support the Finance Manager on tax (FBT, GST, income tax), compliance, regulatory queries, business change, and documentation. Partner with the Global Finance team and other business units to streamline, automate, and transition processes smoothly. Profile A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CA/CPA qualification Strong technical accounting knowledge, Big 4/Mid Tier audit background advantageous Proactive/curious mindset, interrogate the why and challenge the status quo Ability to work autonomously in a new, rapidly evolving landscape where there is not always a clear answer Experience working in a start up environment/with complex, high volume transaction businesses.
